It's been a busy academic year at UNT, and despite the budget challenges we are navigating,
I continue to be excited and optimistic about progress we're making across multiple
fronts.
Last fall we announced Look North: UNT 2030, the strategic plan that will guide our work -- and underscore our commitment to student success -- through 2030.
As part of the release of our strategic plan, we announced Better Look North, an ambitious $100 million fundraising campaign to support student success. The campaign is already making great progress, and I want to share more about the campaign's goals.
The Better Look North campaign supports programs and resources to help UNT students gain the skills and experiences they need for good jobs and lives of meaning and purpose.
To become the next generation of alumni who have the confidence, drive, and preparation to lead. To remove barriers to success when students face housing or food insecurity. It will also give students opportunities to unlock their potential and perform at the highest levels, whether in our classrooms, laboratories, studios, stages, or athletics fields.
This campaign sends a powerful message to our region, the state of Texas, and the nation. That UNT is where futures take shape, where we transform inspiration into impact, and where we guide grit to greatness.
UNT aims to set a new standard for public universities, to create enduring value for our students, employers, and the public good. To make this vision a reality, the support of our alumni, friends, and donors is more important than ever. We can't do it alone. We need your partnership and commitment to help us fund the margin of excellence and define the future for UNT.
Time and time again, our alumni have stepped up to support our great university, and I am deeply grateful for and inspired by your continued commitment to our Mean Green Family.
This is who we are. We're just getting started, and you Better Look North.
Respectfully,
Harrison Keller, Ph.D.
